Part 2: Describe a job you would not like to do.
You should say:
- What the job is?
- How do you know about it?
- Whether it is an easy or difficult job?
- And explain why you would not like to do it
Sample Band 7.0+
One job that I would not like to do is working as a sanitation worker, commonly known as a garbage collector. I gained insights into this job through documentaries, news articles, and observing sanitation workers in my neighborhood.
This job is undeniably difficult and physically demanding. Sanitation workers often have to work long hours in all weather conditions, lifting heavy loads and handling potentially hazardous materials. The work is not only strenuous but also carries health risks due to exposure to pollutants and contaminants.
Moreover, the job of a sanitation worker is often underappreciated and stigmatized in society. Despite playing a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and public health, sanitation workers are frequently subjected to disrespect and discrimination. The lack of recognition and societal appreciation for their contributions makes this job even more challenging and unappealing.
Additionally, the repetitive nature of the tasks involved in garbage collection can lead to monotony and a sense of disillusionment over time. The job offers little opportunity for personal or professional growth, making it difficult to find fulfillment or satisfaction in the work.
Overall, while I have the utmost respect for individuals who undertake this essential but often thankless job, I personally would not choose to pursue a career in sanitation work. The combination of physical demands, health risks, societal stigma, and lack of opportunities for growth make it a job that I would find deeply unfulfilling and undesirable.

One thing I do regularly to aid my work or study is practicing mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness meditation is a technique where I focus my attention on the present moment, acknowledging and accepting my thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations without judgment.
I typically practice mindfulness meditation for about 10 to 15 minutes each morning before starting my day. I find a quiet and comfortable spot, sit in a relaxed posture, and close my eyes. Then, I begin by focusing on my breath, observing the sensations of inhaling and exhaling.
During the meditation session, I gently redirect my attention back to my breath whenever my mind starts to wander. I also pay attention to any physical sensations or emotions that arise, acknowledging them with a sense of curiosity and non-reactivity.
I find that practicing mindfulness meditation helps me to cultivate a sense of calmness, clarity, and focus that carries over into my work or study sessions. It allows me to approach tasks with a greater sense of awareness and concentration, reducing stress and enhancing productivity.
Moreover, mindfulness meditation has also helped me to develop greater self-awareness and emotional resilience, enabling me to navigate challenges and setbacks more effectively. Overall, I feel grateful for incorporating mindfulness meditation into my daily routine, as it has become an essential tool for maintaining my well-being and enhancing my performance in both work and study

Topic Job/Work_IELTS Speaking Part 3
Which jobs are the most respected in your country?
In my country, professions such as doctors, engineers, and teachers are highly respected. Doctors are revered due to their role in saving lives and ensuring public health. Engineers, especially those in technology and infrastructure, are valued for their contributions to development and innovation. Teachers are also held in high esteem because they shape the future by educating the younger generations.
Some people say it’s better to work for yourself than to be employed by a company. What’s your opinion?
I believe both working for yourself and being employed by a company have their own merits. Working for yourself offers flexibility, independence, and the potential for higher earnings. However, it also comes with risks and uncertainties. On the other hand, being employed by a company provides job security, a steady income, and benefits such as health insurance. Personally, I think the choice depends on an individual’s risk tolerance, career goals, and personal circumstances.
What do you think about the trend of continually switching jobs among young people these days?
The trend of frequently switching jobs among young people can be both positive and negative. On the positive side, it allows individuals to gain diverse experiences, develop new skills, and find the best fit for their talents and interests. However, it can also lead to a lack of stability and long-term growth in one’s career. Employers might view frequent job changes as a lack of commitment. Therefore, while job-hopping can be beneficial for personal growth, it should be done thoughtfully.
Do you think it is important to make a good first impression in a job interview?
Absolutely, making a good first impression in a job interview is crucial. First impressions can set the tone for the entire interview and influence the interviewer’s perception of you. A positive first impression can demonstrate your professionalism, confidence, and suitability for the role. It’s important to dress appropriately, be punctual, and exhibit good manners. Additionally, being well-prepared and showing genuine interest in the position can significantly enhance the impression you make.
